Award: Pura Belpre
This picture book is a nonfiction book about the history of flamenco dancing. The full color pictures were taken by the author who traveled to various places throughout the world that do flamenco dancing. The text was interesting and the photos definitely helped in showing how the dance is done and the clothes that are worn. A glossary of Spanish terms at the back helps in understanding the text and learn a little more about the dance.
